Another minute later, my keyboard disconnects/reconnects and the Intel drivers are back in the device manager, Asmedia is now gone from the device manager. No issues with the Asmedia Controller, it found it. It worked! The drivers installed exactly like they always had. I decided to move around my keyboard and mouse and disconnect everything else plugged into usb. ? The ports seem to work with the Intel USB 3 controller drivers but asmedia controller is nowhere to be found.

Today I decided to clean install and get out of the insider program for a while. I reinstalled windows countless times, no issues with asmedia ever. I've been on the 1701 bios since it was released. Each and every time, they would install with zero issue. Each and every time, I install the latest Intel Chipset Drivers from the Rampage V drivers sections. I've been a Windows Insider, so I've installed and reinstalled windows 10 countless times. I decided to do a clean install of the latest Windows 10 build (10586). I seem to have a weird issue with the Asmedia USB Host Controller.

I went to the driver update site at ASUS for my Maximus IX Hero motherboard and cannot find anything regarding subject. My driver update program states the driver is out of date too but cannot install it and times out. It recommends I go to the owner of the product and get the update there. When I click on Subject in the Device Manager and check to see if there are updated drivers, Windows goes to the Internet and attempts to install the driver but always has a time-out and the update fails.
